This book would be great to those marketing financial services. Example after example is spent determining how to market securities and finding out about how to find them. Unfortunately, if you are in any other line of business, there will be precious little for you to take away with this book. It was a waste of my money, but again, if you are selling financial products go for it.

Dr. Thomas Stanley has become a big name since his book "The Millionaire Next Door" but some of his have been tracking his work since his days as Georgia State Professor.
This was his breakthrough work. Lots of original research and tremendous insights.
I work as a financial consultant to people who receive personal injury awards and found Dr. Stanley's writing extremely valuable.
Anyone who works with high producers or who wants to be a high income producer should own this book.

About the Author
The life of Arthur Conan Doyle illustrates the excitement and diversity of the Victorian age unlike that of any other single figure of the period. At different points in his life he was a surgeon on a whaling ship; a GP; an apprentice eye-surgeon; an unsuccessful parliamentary candidate (twice); a multi-talented sportsman; one of the inventors of cross-country skiing in Switzerland; a formidable public speaker; a campaigner against miscarriages of justice; a military strategist; a writer in a range of forms; and the head of an extraordinary family. In his autobiography, he wrote: 'I have had a life which, for variety and romance, could, I think, hardly be exceeded.' He was not wrong. But Conan Doyle was also a Victorian with a twist, a man of tensions and contradictions. He was fascinated by travel, exploration, and invention, indeed all things modern and technological; yet at the same time he was also very traditional, voicing support for values such as chivalry, duty, constancy, and honour. By the time of his death in July 1930 he was a celebrity, achieving worldwide fame and notoriety for his creation of the rationalist, scientific super-detective Sherlock Holmes; yet at the same time his later decades were taken up with his advocacy of the new religion of Spiritualism, in which he was a devoted believer.

Excellent Overview

Doyle with help from a ghost writer (interesting fit), reviews almost 100 years of spiritualism, mediumship, research and personal experience. He is not dogmatic but seems to glaze over some important angles on the subject, especially that provided by HP Blavatsky. Still, this is a grand introduction to the subject with many references cited. Recommended.

I think this is a must read for anyone interested in Spiritualism. Sir Conan Doyle is easily one of the best know Spiritualists and of course a wonderful writer. It give a perspective that people might not otherwise have regarding Spiritualism and why it struck such a cord as the end of the 1800's and early 1900's.

A great 'tail'

When I first read this book Wattpad, I was automatically hooked. Pun not intended. The characters are so beautifully developed, as well as the plot. Each chapter makes you more and more eager for the next, and I hope this turns into a paperback ASAP. I'd buy that immediately. I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a phenomenal story with great characters and a fantastic storyline altogether.

This is an awesome story that literally had me glued! The only thing I didn't like about it was all the bad language. The used of GD and the f-word was too much. But other wise it was so good!
