Not As Expected

I've been wanting this book for a long time and finally bit the bullet and purchased it to help me learn more about Photoshop, Illustrator, and Muse, specifically. The first section I completed (Section 2) was interesting and fun. I learned a few things about InDesign that I didn't know and some things about Illustrator and Photoshop. I moved next to Section 1. I found this section a bit harder to work through. I believe Section 2 was easier to work through because I already use InDesign and know how to get around within the program quite well. While working on Section 1 I began to notice that the lesson plans assume the user has a good understanding of the workspace, tools, and panels of all the programs used in each exercise. There aren't many inline graphics showing tools/icons so if you're not familiar with one, you have to hunt to find it before continuing. The prerequisites don't mention the need to have a general working knowledge of each program.

I also expected the exercises to be more basic. For instance when I began working on Section 3 to learn about Muse it immediately jumped me into a website that was mostly complete in its structure. The first exercises were about working with animations. I wanted to learn about setting up the web pages, site map, etc. In my opinion animations shouldn't be the first thing to teach someone.

Overall, I don't believe the description gives justice to the book, which I think is a great tool for those who are already familiar with the basics of the programs and just want to learn more. For those like me who want more basic techniques, look elsewhere. To give it more perspective, I know Corel programs pretty well, so I'm not new to the terms and concepts, I just need to know the specifics of how to do things in Photoshop and Illustrator. This book failed me in that respect.

I like the Adobe Classroom in a Book series. Who else to explain a product than the people who created it? Some of it is confusing for "newbies" like me, but if I keep trying I eventually get it.

Already Dated, Rather Obsolete Already, Unfortunately

I was dismayed to find how dated the material in this manual is. For example, in a chapter that teaches you about the features of InDesign CC, you are told to use a handful of functions and options that no longer exist in the latest InDesign CC update, whatsoever. It was very frustrating and confusing for me. I regret paying what I did for this book.

Who's fault is it?

This book not only puts your marriage into perspective, but it also puts your life into perspective.

During conflict we have a tendency to point a finger. The problem is that we point the finger at the wrong person. You see, we can't change others, but we can change ourselves. And this is the start of reconciliation. Is it easy? No not at all?

The problem is that we focus on our spouse to bring peace. Well why would the source of your pain bring you peace? And now you're on a crazy cycle looking to the person who causes chaos to all of a sudden bring peace. And when that doesn't happen, you despise that person more and more, and the cycle continues. It's a lose lose.

This is a Christian Book. If you don't believe that Jesus was the creator of this Universe, this book is not for you.

This book will challenge you. YOU have to be the change. You can't say "Well, I'll change if he/she changes too" or "I'll work on my marriage, if he/she does X, Y, Z." Because if you were to die today, and God asked you about your marriage. Are you going to respond like Adam & Eve and play the blame game? We are all responsible for our own actions regardless of another human being.

To sum this book up. Love Christ First. With Christ at the top, you will know how to love all others. You will know how to FORGIVE, as Christ forgives you DAILY.

It has always been about "Christ Living His Life In Us, Through Us, and As Us." When the center of most books are on "man" this book really expresses Our Father's Heart...His Son. Thank you for sharing others points of view as well it gave the book even more credibility and hope. This has been the journey for my love and I as well. SO FRUSTRATING

I NEED MORE.....I loved the story for all it's wonder and magic between the characters and this gave nowhere near enough. I have to know how they got there powers back; did they really get married; were they able to have a baby; did Able deal with his issues? I want to know....I need to know.

The writing is okay but certainly not anything more than that. I've read many of her "books". She cheats her readers by promising series installments in certain date ranges and then does not deliver, or produces a half way poorly written final installment. This volume is a perfect example. I bought this book looking forward to a real novel quality story. What I got was barely essay that was not well written. This was the last straw. I no longer read S. J. Day or any of her aliases.

This Book is a Must Have for RoofCutters

This is a must have book for roof framing. The drawings and principles are layed out very well and as cleanly as you can for a book like this. It covers just about every roof framing situation you will likely encounter, and the principles and techniques will help you solve the ones that aren't covered.

If you are serious about learning to cut and stack roofs, then buy this book. Or if you are like me, buy a few and give them to your framers.

Its well worth the price for this book, I covers everything you want to know in roof framing, nothing you can find in other roof framing books.

Every picture detail has the math on the same page so you dont have to flip pages and flip back and get confussed,

A life-changer and priceless guide

Many dysfunctions in the body and nervous system can be related to abnormal and dysfunctional breathing. Conditions including anxiety, panic attacks, poor sleep patterns, fatigue, muscle cramps, exaggerated startle response, and brain fog can all be related to the way we breathe. Learning how to breathe again

This book was an interesting and quick read, it is well written and easy to follow. I took breathing for granted most of my life and quickly realized that I have been breathing incorrectly for years. Recently faced with a stressful job, I have recently been finding myself full of anxiety and sleepless. While I haven't tried the methods laid out in this book for the full 14 days yet, I have been practicing breathing daily and while at work. It has been helping to calm my my nervous system and clear my mind. Hoping with regular practice, Dr. Belisa's tips will help cure my insomnia. The idea that breathing is healing makes so much sense!

I would give this a 3.5 if I could. The book has good information, once you finally get through the interminable chapters selling the author's idea. The actual meat of the book, for which I was looking, could have been a pamphlet.
